To see how the project is progressing please click here Over the years we have taken many divine soles on pilgrimages to South India, traveling form the very tip of India, a place know as Kanyakumari, where the Virgin Mother resides, to the Central states of India. This land that we have traveled to has always fascinated believers, non-believers, philosophers, writers and painters who have all come to India because it offer such an intriguing mix of sight, sound and experience. These holy places are called "mokshadayika" because they promise the pilgrim the supreme liberation of Moksha. Going to this ancient temples and worshipping will fees one from the burden of one's past actions and also liberates one from endless cycle of births and deaths. So that when we gain Moksha, our soul can merge with the supreme oneness. Lots of the old temples are sacred places charged the power of goddess and gods and resonant of purity. This temples were given life by great spiritual giants of the past, both priest and saints. For Hindus, the landscape itself like hills, rivers, trees, rocks, pools and the sea are all holy. Rivers like the Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati, Godavari and the Kaveri are especially sacred so are hills like Kailach and Arunachala. All of Nature and the animals are see as sacred part of creation. In modern India, this place has taken a lesser importance in society, especially the temple, where most of the important rituals have become a rare practice. The temples of the first millennium were also centers of culture, as scholars and musicians, dancers, poets and painters would gather. There were hall where pilgrims stay or perform Yajnas, which is missing from all the temples to-day. I would have personally like to have stayed in temples so that I may have received the same blessings and energy as my forefather who were pilgrims. To sleep in the temples is to receive the spiritual power that is within the wall of the temple that has been generated over centuries, instead of that I live in hotels. For a Hindu, the temples cities are not just another city, it is a symbol of hope and redemption and so it is the retreat. The ones who are searching for truth seek these temples in their soul. A truly holy place is described as being like Kashi, for instance Kanchipuram, Chidambaram, Rameshwaram, Madurai are called the Kashi of the South. Kashi means the light of enlightenment, it is the ever-luminous city of light that exerts an inexplicable mesmerize power over not just the believer, but even the traveler and the seekers of truth from other lands. Many, over the period of time have been neglected to devastating condition, and these temples are either owned by the government or individual. For the government the importance of the temple is more related to its income rather then its history or spiritual powers. These temples are a National heritage for its spiritual richness and history When one speaks about spiritual heritage, one has to speak of it not just as a heritage of the people of India, but of humanity as a whole. As such it is importance for every spiritual minded being to take an interest in restoring this temples so that the spiritual aspect of this places will retain it value and power. The priest and the government of India must remember that they are custodians of this temple and that this temple are a National Heritage of the country, and have a responsible to maintain them for the future generation, both the structure and the culture, which is one of the lands highest asset. The government is guilty of gross neglect, and have to realize that this National Heritage that it is responsible for is one of the oldest spiritual land to have survived unlike other who have perished, when others like ancient Babylon, Luxor and Nineveh have turned to silent ruins, but thanks to our forefather, most of our temple cities still survives and thrives, but the present generation, is letting this temples to go to ruin, but at the same time building new ones. I ask all who read this article to help us restore all the temples that were built in the first millennium which are the finest examples of architecture and sculpture, especially the walls of the temples are a veritable gallery of exquisite sculptures, that may soon be lost, along with it a part of the ancient way of life and of a living, vibrant faith. These temples are mainly in the central and south of India. These temples were built according to the plans laid down in the ancient treatises like the Vastu Shastra and Brihat Samhita. They were built as a symbol of heaven on earth, representation of the universe. The outer walls of some of the temples have sculptors created a virtual heaven of dancing nymphs, many aspects of deities and mythical beasts. The walls of most of the temples were painted and decorated with precious metals. The most important reason for a temple is the darshan of a deity. A darshan can be termed the seeing or viewing of an image, but for a Hindu it is a much more personal experience, where the eyes are the doorway to the soul. A pilgrim is being in the presence of god/goddess or even a great being and absorbing some of the aura of goodness from them. Pilgrims stand with folded hands before an image of bends to touch the feet of a wise saint, they are reaching out to gather some of their holiness. This has become a difficult for most of the pilgrim who visit this temples, as either saints or the pilgrims are not given the same respect or the opportunity as given in ancient time. Devotees who had divine vision of the Goddess or God, to build these temples for the devotees. Today many of these temples have become a place for either the priest or the government to make a living. Few year ago I made a pilgrimage to Ayappa temple which is situated 40 mile deep in the forest which is meant to be very special which is open for once a year, during which period millions of devotees around the world make their yearly pilgrimage. After fasting for nearly 70 day a student from our center in Australia and me made this very difficult journey through the jungle, the journey itself was not that difficult, but the most trying part of the pilgrimage was at the end of the journey, on reaching the temple where Lord Ayappa resides. The treatment that we got from the police and officials of the temple were more trying. The pilgrims are not given any importance and are treated with the same contempt as they treated the visitors. In fact some of the visitors were given more preference, due to the weight of the wallets or an important official of the government, and in the past even the kings used to give the devotees great respect, and used to consider it a blessing to be in their company. In my younger day I used to take regular pilgrimage to Lord Subramania's temples in Malaysia, here I was treated the way a pilgrimage should be treated, and even today the same is been done, and all of us must be a part in restoring this, by helping us build a temple, with its main focus on the pilgrim, and the or priestess mainly being there to serve the God/Goddess - the pilgrim Most of the temple build in ancient time were built by Father-god worshipers, rather then Mother-Goddess, even, when it come to the most popular Madurai Meenakshi temple, the central Sannidhi is that of Lord (Shiva) Sundareswara with Mother Meenakshi by the side, but over time she became more popular then Lord Sundareswara. The main Tantric Goddess is spread from the very southern tip to the North of India. The element and planets temples are situated in the south of India. To visit the entire main temples in the south, it can be done within 21 days, and to include the North, it will take about 60 days. Now IFC Temple of Divine Love with the blessing of the local people would be building a temple that will house all the Mahavidyas, the Moon Goddess (Nityas), the planets and Luna Nakshatras. There are no such temples in India, housing all of them together as thought in Tantra. Tantra has become one of the more well-known and popular aspects of Eastern Spirituality in the world today. Most of the descriptions given in this works are from the book Tantric Yoga and the ten wisdom Goddess by Dr David Frawley. He and Harish Johari author of the Tool for Tantra, have both popularizes Tantrism in the best sense of the word "Tantric deities represent the Divine consciousness functioning on all levels of the universe, both outward and inwards. They have a broad range of meaning - form and formless, concrete and abstract, human and non-human, terrible and beautiful. They appear on every level of our being and of the world being, as the various principles. Energies and faculties, which make up the universe, manifest and unmanifest. The Goddess, who represent creation on all levels, posses this same diversity, which is expressed through her Ten Wisdom Forms (MahaVidya) and their different functions. (By Dr David Frawley) The Yoni (through which the whole Universe is created from and to which all of creation will return, as such all women should be worshiped as Divine Goddess, and only then can the world return to its full glory) The puja will be offered by women who have yet to be married. The Sri Yantra (There is no Tantra without Mantra and Yantra. The most significant Yantra is the Sri Yantra `. The Yantra represents a more subtle level of reality than the anthropomorphic image of the deity) To begin the project we will build separate Sannidhi for each of the goddess mentioned below. The average cost for each Sannidhi is about 2.500,000.00 rupees or 5,000 Euro Goddess; 1 -Meenakshi 2 - Kamachi 3 - Vishalachi 4 Saraswati (Goddess of Knowledge) - 5 - Lakshmi (Goddess of Prosperity) 7 - Kanyakumari - the virgin goddess, 8 - Mother Durga (from her comes the ten Mahavidyas, or the wisdom Goddess) the inaccessible one, inner strength Gods 1-The Shiva Lingam (represent the Yoni and the Lingam in Union) Gods 1 - Lord Ganapathi 2- Lord Vishnu, the protector 3- Nataraja 4. - Lord Brahma 5 - Lord Hanuman. 6. Kartikeya, commander of the celestial armies. 8.
