Tantra the Way of Life,
talk given by The Father of Para-Tan and Master of the
Living Goddess Tradition and founder of the first Mahavidya Temple in
Tamil Nadu, South India,
Shri Param Eswaran
Can inner vision and dreams make you Life more
enjoyable?
In modern day's way of living, many people go to bed stressed, their body fall
of sleeping pills or alcohol. This negates the purifying mind space that allows
us to prepare for a dream.
People of ancient time usually will visit a Tantric Temple, which were
sanctuaries, where they seek to be treated through their dreams, inner vision
and the use of Astrology, for a wide range of physical illness. They will
normally undergo cleansing, and Tantric purifying rituals. When one purifies the
body through ritual, one also cleanses the soul, thus setting it free for
communication with God/Goddess within
The ancient Tantrika respected both the secular intellectual life and the sacred
or inner life, life of visions, dreams and astrology to guide them to reach deep
within
As the rational scientific world comes to dominate our existence, dreams and
inner visions or the exchange of energy tend to be dismissed as merely
irrational phenomena and some time not to be seriously taken. In ancient India,
Tantrika hold the value of visions alongside that of their considerable
intellectual and scientific achievement. Visions were clearly seen as an
alternative, not inferior, way of knowing. This also applies with the connection
we have with another individual, recognizing the energy that you experience and
going with the flow of things, without letting our mind interfere and rejects
the experience. ____________________________________News Tantra Teacher's Training

Not only are we suffering from this negative cultural attitude towards our inner
life, but also we tend to reinforce that sort of thinking by the way we approach
the world of vision. our communication with the world around us, our loved ones.
Due to lack of inner life we do not know to communicate with energy that we
share with the world we live in and our love ones.
Unlike the ancients, who made a sacred pilgrimage to the sanctuaries and accept
the need for purification and patience, we tend to fall into bed exhausted and
unprepared for a dream and reconnecting with our inner being.
Many people go to bed still stresses by the day's events, their minds cluttered
with conflicting thoughts and feelings, and in some cases, with their body full
of sleeping pills or alcohol. This negates the purifying mental space that
allows us to prepare ourselves for a dream, and is a disrespectful way to
approaching our inner world.
It is so important to create a peaceful space between the noise of the day and
the quietness of the night into which we can receive a dream. We can do this in
any number of ways, read a novel, listen to music, meditate or anything that
helps unwind. Listening to the healing sounds offered on the top right hand
corner will help unwind and free oneself from stress.
In our modern world we verge on being manic, always busy, wearing it like some
badges of achievement. We're in danger of forgetting the need to keep in contact
with our inner life, and it's this disconnection between mind and soul that
needs healing. Ayurveda is a simile of the healing potential that lies in paying
attention to our inner voice or our dreams and using them to reflect on our
inner life.
There is a certain irony in the fact that the symbol of modern scientific
medicine, the staff with the intertwined snakes, is in fact the symbol of
Asklepios. (The ancient Greek God of medicine)
How far we have moved, for, a deep respect for the world of dreams and inner
vision and their part in maintain well-being, to the current reliance on drugs
and technology, and we call this progress. Perhaps we could learn a thing or two
from the ancient Indian and their honoring of the God and goddess of healing
within.
